Starting to hear thunder here..... not too worried so far since we are east of where the action seems to be. Put my car in the garage just in case....

That's a good sized tornado.

Starting to see lightning here at home.

It's pretty safe to say that everyone here in the Austin area keep a close eye on that storm. It's definetly heading this way and since it has a history of being tornado warned, it's a good idea to monitor it. Hopefully nothing will happen.

EDIT: Storm has weakened while the southern end has strengthened. Just gonna see some rain and lightning..

It looks like it is weakening in the latest loop. The rotation is breaking up as it hits the rain shield in front of it. Getting light rain with some hunder here now.

My house in San Antonio is currently getting near 5" per hour instantaneous rain rates! Incredible for January. I'm very thankful! :D

In other news what happened to next week? lol... there's almost no cold air anywhere and the snowstorms vanished.

It must have heard I'm going on vacation.

Seems like we are seeing some "training effect" going on here in Tomball.

My parents (near SH 249 and Cypress Creek) lost power from the tornado warned cell. Looks like the rotation passed a little south of them.

Yeah, the models kind of gave up on those perfect H5 passes. The longer range cold still looks to be legit, for now.
