Damage looks very bad from NBC 5. Likely EF3 or greater it looks from pictures. I am glad DFW missed this, 30-50 just to the east.

A lot of the damage is also from cars when the tornado crossed I-20

With the conditions some of the vehicles on the interstate looked, it might be hard to avoid casualties. I hope that isn't the case.

Canton - at least a portion of it - apparently just hit by violent tornado...

@spann - I-20 east of Canton TX. Dozens of cars flipped; severe damage. Via KXAS TV

@JustonStrmRider - Observed damage on TX Hwy 64, including one vehicle tossed approx 200 ft off the road. 1 confirmed fatality in that vehicle @SimonStormRider

What a terrible situation going on in northeast Tx.


I didn't want my hopes up but sometimes that pays off. Storms are firing across western Travis County. Just waiting to see if the rain actually makes it over my yard. Looks like a severe storm watch has been issued for the area. Hopefully we won't see anything like what is happening to the northeast. I took a great timelapse video of the clouds overhead swirling about.
