The Total Eclipse view in Puerto Rico will be around 80% of the sun covered and that is not bad at all.Hopefully, the weather cooperates on that day.

I've already arrived. It should be in excess of 98% here, probably close to 100% since the track shows just a few miles from me. I plan on laying by the pool in my back yard trying to remember not to look up.
I'm expecting it to be cloudy though.

Family gathering has been moved from mid-Michigan to southern-Illinois to Ben in the path. Should be awesome either way!

Saw a blurb in the last few days that campsites had 'sold' for $60K each. Me and my neighbors could make a killing that way. I only have about 5 acres, but most of the neighbors here have 50 at least, some of the farmers have over 200 acres.

Re: Total Solar Eclipse (August 21 1:15 PM EDT) (Totality from Oregon to South Carolina)
We are now planning to drive down to around the TN/NC border to see the eclipse, my family isn't exactly an outdoors kind of family, and all the tours seem to be sold out, any advice?

Just got to wondering what boardies here will do if there's a significant TC anywhere near the SE US coastline on that day.

Wow. We are now only just 42 days, a mere six weeks away from the most awesome spectacle of a lifetime, The 2017 Great American Solar Eclipse. It is approaching rapidly and I am just keeping my fingers crossed for a good weather day on August 21.
