Hey Dennis ... I might be in the Flagstaff area next August (2004) ... PM me some stuff on the area would ya? I might be there for a family reunion. :)

Chilly here too. *shivers* It's only ... brr ... 65.2 degrees. Just shows ya how un-used to cold weather I am. (then again it's 10:58 AM and it's only 65 :o )

I adjusted my sleep schedule last night. A lot. :o  I modded my test website from 6 to 9 PM; slept from 9 PM to 1:30 AM; and have been up since. I worked on modding my website from 1:30 to 7:45 AM; surfed my various websites (here, WxChat, WeatherUSA, The Storm Room, and a couple of others you've likely never heard of) until about 9:30; then I went and ate breakfast; now I'm back. ;) No one is allowed to see my test website yet though (the one that I am modding) until all of the mods are uploaded. ;) :D I want to surprise everyone. :) :D

Joshua, if you are going to Flagstaff, Arizona for a family reunion, what can you possibly need to know about the area? :)

There must be a way to learn how to "mod" message boards. Learning all the things that need to be done to 'spif' up a board can't be that easy.

Steve - Glad you had a great trip! I'm jealous!

Dennis - If you make it to Colorado, try to go by the "Great Sand Dunes National Park". I think it's by the Spanish Peaks in southern Colorado. It's an awesome place to visit!

The christening party was nice - little Robert John is so cute!

Well, this is going to be a busy week at work. Actually, the next several months will be - there's alot of changes going on and I'm not sure that I care for what's going on, but one day at a time! I think I'll be turning in shortly with the television turned on to "City Slickers" with Billy Crystal. It's really funny!

Have a great evening!

Josh - 'ya GOTTA go to the Lowell Observatory
in Flagstaff and REALLY look into the stars -
it's awesome! (My first and only experience with
a telescope larger than my brother's backyard
'scope...) ;)

Ok guys, I am here to provide the "pathetic" of the day: not only have I not been to Flagstaff, I have never been further west than KANSAS CITY, KS!!!!! Yes, I know, I have lived a sheltered life! One day, I would love to just take off and visit every state! Until then, it's nice to hear about them! Well, y'all, I never scored with the Halloween decos, but they are at least out of the crawlspace and into my room by my own doing! LOL, we'll probably put them up tomorrow. Well, I'm off to lurk around somewhere, you all have a good night! OH, I almost forgot, I brought some fresh apple crisp, help yourself! :D

I haven't been out of the Eastern Time Zone, yet. I would like to get at least into the Central Time Zone by the time I turn 30; which would be by Tuesday July 17th, 2007.

If and when I do, it would be with one of my brother's, the one that lives in Melbourne, Florida... 2 1/4 hours from my location.

Good Morning!

WHEW! Would someone turn down this HEAT? MAN it's been HOT, another record set yesterday and 2 more days to go  AH WELL, it'll be cold soon enough, better enjoy it while I can 8-)

Flagstaff is a WONDERFUL place, a little crowded however, when Flag was founded, they never dreamed it would grow like it has....the city planners never took into account growth, the roads are very congested now, especially since classes at NAU are now back in session, NAU BTW is the BEST university in the state IMHO 8-) The cost of housing in Flag is beyond comprehesion, rent for a studio apt $600 a month, 1 bedroom apt. $1000+ :o and with Az being a *Right to Work State*, the wages are terrible, I don't know how people afford to live in Flag :?: The area around Lowell Observatory is almost totally devoid of trees now, thanks to the bark beetle.......our last trip to Flag just a few weeks ago, I couldn't believe the amount of dead trees, makes me sick  all this because of the damn environ"mental"ists!

Anyways, only 9 more days till vacation.....WAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOO 8-) Bet ya can't tell I'm excited huh? Well, fall festival was a HUGE success and now......they're ALL GONE 8-) We have our mountain top back.......the golf courses are EMPTY, OH....BTW, I didn't play in the tourney Sat......I chickened out "Cluck, cluck!"

Gotta git, need to get our work done before the blast furnace kicks in! Make it a great Monday would ya?

Dennis 8-)

Here In Northern MD

#69 Postby North MD » Mon Sep 29, 2003 9:15 am

A chill is in the air, temps this morning were down to 45 in rural Carroll County MD. Still, I am going to miss the summer weather with mild morning lows in the 60s. Until winter, that is, then I will be rooting for the next snowstorm.

Welcome Northern MD!

No frost yet, but turned the heat on for the first time this morning! Of course, it didn't help that we had the windows open and it was in the 50's outside and 64 inside. BRRRR!!!! Last night you could really smell the crispness in the air - the beginning of the fall nights to come! :D

Dennis - How's your pneumonia?

Well, I'm at work but on lunch break. Talk to you later!

CF, is that July 17th, 2007 EASTERN time or CENTRAL time? That could give you an extra hour to achieve your goal.

Good one, Ed. :D That would be EASTERN time, being that is where I have been living and will the time zone I will be in before I get over the "boundary." :)

Good afternoon all!

Glad to see a nice, cozy spot by the fire saved for me!! This cold just won't quit, but I will survive...lol. But as always, I could surely use some hot chocolate!

Still chilly here! Last night got down to a balmy (ha!) 35°F in my neck of the woods! If there was frost, I wasn't awake to see it, but I will be tomorrow, so I'll let you know!

Finally got the call, WalMart is ready for me, I get to start my orientation tomorrow! It took a few weeks becuase the store was still being built, but now it is done and I can go to work- yay! I just hope I'm not coughing and sneezing the whole time!

Ok, off to hide in some blankets, catch y'all later!

Good evening, all! It's turned a wee bit cool,
here, as well...41°F here, last night, but, did
I turn the heat on? Naaaaawwww...!! LOL, felt
good, this morning! Same temps forecast
for tonight.

Hey, North MD - welcome to the Stove! We're
glad to have you. Feel free to help yourself
to some hot chocolate and KKs - folks are
always bringing in goodies! But, beware of
Crouton, the PBS's lovable pot-bellied pig -
your food can disappear right out of your hand
if you're not paying attention! ;)

Shannon, DO take care of that cold! Keep warm
and drink lots of fluids!

Good luck at Wally-World, Jacki! I know that
you already wish that orientation was over!

Everyone have a great evening!

Good Morning!

Wasn't around too much yesterday, as y'all have read, I went to sawbones "AGAIN".....as much as I've been going, I half way expect him to retire this year and it's ALL from ME "LOL!" Also, another reason for not sittin' around the PBS......it's "TOO BLASTED HOT!" I've been outside on the front porch. 3 consecutive days of record breaking heat is putting a strain on us Arizonians. I was watchin the 5 o'clock news last evening, even the people in Phoenix, Tucson and other desert dwellers are getting sick of it!! This year, without a doubt, will go down in the books as one of the top 10 hottest years since records have been kept!

ANYWAYS.....Karan, I "PROMISE" as soon as my email server is up and runnin', it's down right now, I will send Patricia your pic *he bows his head in shame*........

Shannon, drink lotsa OJ, take Ecinacia and REST!

Jackie.....I know a lot of people poke fun at Wally World, myself included but I tell ya what, it's a GREAT place to work and the benefits are GREAT! My son Chris has been workin' at Wally World for almost a year now part time, he LOVES it there. One thing however........"IF" you don't like it, GET OUT, trust me, because once you've been bitten by the *Retail Bug*, you'll never want to do anything else. When I started in the grocery business over 25 years ago, I hated it for the 1st 6 months, 20 years later, I retired from it!

Well, that's nuff outta me this early a.m., make it a GREAT day would ya.......I'll stoke the fire before leaving and put a fresh pot O' Cowboy coffee on!

Brrrrrrrrr,

It was 39° when I woke up this morning. I even had to turn my furnace . I brought many of my plants in from the patio last night, thank goodness. I think I would have lost them last night.

I could really use a cup of coffee.

David, yes, the rocker is empty and I could use the company.

I'll put on a fresh pot of coffee and brew some Earl Grey. Hey Mary, tea's on!!!!!!!

Steve, looks like you had a terrific time. Paradise, isn't it!!!!!!

I'll be back later
Have a great day

Howdy Karan, Dennis, and the others gathered around the PBS! :)

It is cool cloudy damp day here in the Ozarks. Temps are in the 50's and our high is only supposed to be 58º, which is 19º below average for today. In fact we aren't supposed to reach average temps for the next 7 days. :o Fall has definitely arrived.

I think I will wrap up in a blanket and stay warm. Have a great afternoon!

Aloha to all gathered around the Pot Belly Stove. Just thought I would use a nice tropical greeting to help warm things up. It has been chilly the past few days, and it got down to 40 degrees at my house this morning. In fact, I might see frost by Friday morning, with lows expected in the 30's by then.

Garrett and Karan - I believe fall is definitely here. But I do so love the cool weather. 8-)

Dennis - I will send some cool weather to you, ASAP! :)

Jacki - I hope your cold goes away soon. And good luck with the job at Wal-Mart! :D

I hope everyone has a great afternoon.
