And wetter during longer range lol

In the shorter term, storms off to the NE looking more organized today. Maybe they push SW into DFW later with more wide spread rainfall.

Today's CPC forecast looks pretty decent for rain across most of Texas :D

We are getting hammered! Cell merger basically right over the house as a cell came down from the north another cell popped up just to our south. This is the edge of the southern cell pushing in.

Those cells missed my house. We're right in the middle. Brought the temp down nicely though.

Missed most of the real storm by a few miles here but a lot of thunder and some rain at the end... about 15 degrees cooler now

Yep, looks like the airport scored off the outflow. Now the question, does it hit the official measurement spot?

360 and Trinity is getting hammered. Just drove through the storm to my place at Walnut Hill and Beltline and not a drop. Gotta love isolated pop up thunderstorms. The rain was very heavy and then it just stopped. Man this summer has been great so far. A long way to go though.

I usually don't wish away rain, but that storm that popped up west of DFW was really inconvenient while my family was trying to move. We got a quite a bit of rain at my old and new house though.

0z GFS brings the African wave into NE Mexico as a very large major hurricane with impacts in the Southern half of the state at day 15-16. Before that in fantasy land there's an ULL over the state which definitely won't be hot and dry.

Living up to the term fantasy land this run

Some storms along the Red River sagging south slowly. Perhaps they will survive or trigger new ones later today.

Picked up 2" out of these. Really impressive thunder and lightning as well. I think my pastures and hay fields will make it until fall!

Edit-Picked up an additional 0.25" out of a line that built behind the original line. Truly a blessing.

The 00z Euro backed off putting DFW in the 100s next weekend and now has 97 for the hottest day.

Nice complex of storms stalled out just north of Downtown Houston. Seeing rainfall rates over 4 inches per hour in the strongest activity.

Another hopeful complex bites the dust in central and south Texas.
