Kate and the GOM

Latest forecast track shows Kate turning to the west and with a large high to the north I see no reason to disagree. Interests in Bermuda and the Canadian Maritimes should monitor the progress of Kate as she may threaten these areas. The blob in the GOM/Carribean that has been the subject of much discussion hasnt changed much. There is a lot of convection but shear is preventing this convection from getting organized. Nonetheless interests along the gulf coast, including Florida, should continue to watch this area.
