http://hadar.cira.colostate.edu/ramsdis ... lvis8.html shows the close up of what is most likely now hurricane Kate given the eye type appearance on the satellite pictures. Also check out http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html
On the visible loop you can see Kate is moving alittle south of due west, thus possibly moving into even warmer waters. So we'll only see strengthening throughout the next 24-48 hours with Kate and Kate could reach wind speeds of over 85 mph in the next 24 hours or so.
This is only a marine and shipping hazard at this time. But Kate looks the best she has looked on satellite since the very beginning.
