Inner eye is gone, outer eye has fully taken over. Expect a steady drop in pressure now and winds to further increase as the gradient strengthens and organizes further. Looking very ominous on radar...

what is your elevation at your location?

I say this because I saw a EURO12z estimate of a potential 59 inches+ rain in that area.

flooding may be severe.

godspeed.

Maybe this thing might stall due to changing directions? It looks like it keeps jogging N instead of NW..

Bastardi is now saying that Texas will be spared the worst of the hurricane since Harvey will be making landfall over a less populated area.

How true is this if one of the landfall points are Corpus Christi which has a population of nearly 325000?

Good loop of the storm here. It looks like you can see mesovortices inside the eye here (I think that is what they call them):

That was an ignorant statement, as flooding is still going to be a problem as well. Just my opinion though. :x

Well it is much less populated near the potential landfall spot of Aransas & San Antonio Bays, but those communities along there are in for some catastrophic damage.

A reminder....tornadoes within tropical systems can move very quickly. Keep an ear to the wx radio and take shelter if you are within the warned area.

Wouldn't it take a wnw motion at this point to be a direct hit on Corpus based on current location? Seems like recent movement has been closer to North than West.

"Spared the worst" doesn't mean it still won't be horrible. But the worst would be the winds and storm surge that come with a direct north/northeast eyewall hit (PLUS the rain), and it does appear the eye will miss CC to the north (but if I lived there you can bet I'd still be preparing for the worst in any case).
