Oh, you will. It's a certainty.

If it stalls I would hope it stays offshore and not cause all this damage... watching this is Victoria is so scary

I'm seeing a northward jog of the eye in the last 15-20 minutes of the radar loop. That may spare the city of Corpus Christi the southwestern eyewall if it keeps up.

Godspeed and good luck Texans!
I know this sounds warped buy I hope it picks up forward speed and goes further inland so it can weaken. The closer it stays to the coast, the more fuel for the fire. Y'all are in our prayers gang!

I don't think Harvey's slowing down. I think he's turning around. Early.

Looks like it's letting off the accelerator as it approaches the coast.

Could it be that Harvey is about to stall like ECMWF showed a few days ago?

Something's wrong when you regret, things that haven't happened yet!

Re: ATL: HARVEY - Hurricane - Discussion
If you are in the hot zone right now, know my prayers are with you. Listening to HAM radio operators channel traffic back and forth...Corpus Christi just ordered their police units to "secure in place", they WILL NOT be responding tonight. Fire/EMS is likely to be in the same boat. Listen to me very carefully; DO NOT TAKE ANY CHANCES. If you are in the path of this thing, stay put at this point, stay in a basement or interior (windowless) bathroom, and TAKE SHELTER. You can cover yourself with a mattress if necessary, to protect yourself from debris. If you are in a surge zone, pick an upper floor, interior room, preferably without windows. Keep a HAM radio and flashlight handy. DO NOT USE CANDLES.
I am thinking about my fellow Fire/EMS guys down in TX tonight. Stay safe, brothers, please. I don't want to get a LODD notification because of this storm. Secure yourselves, and be safe.
