I hope the video and feeds is a teaching moment at the very least. It simply is not worth it to stay in a land-falling major.

Velocities on radarscope to the east of Rockport/Fulton are literally off the chart, >142mph. Unreal. TVS near Jeff, not sure if a glitch or not.

my feed crapped out. I was hoping to see the whole building take off. Now that little blue building...this could be the manufacturer's best advertising ever.

Radarscope has huge area of 125-135 and a few bins of 140+. No idea how much reaches land and surface with friction but storm structure definitely most jaw dropping at a US landfall since Andrew.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

We're in a new age of chasing and technology.. cell phone towers have been upgraded to withstand these winds with backup generators. That little teal building was probably designed for winds of 150mph.. and hurricane glass can let you watch it from the comfort of your hotel. It's amazing. Though, this little car wash is older construction obviously.

Ntxw, this had to have kept strengthening after recon left with the way it has even looked better as it approached landfall.
