The most riveting live feed I have ever witnessed. I do not know how in the world those guys got out of that still alive at this point. WOW!! Just an absolute nightmare scenario in progress on the Texas coast right now.

That looks like a solid masonry construction building on google earth?
The school is not as close to the bay as the "blue shed" and has small hurricane safe windows.

The eye has a weird shape on radar, with little vortices in four quadrants. Any idea if that means it’s weakening or not really? It still looks good on IR but has signs of cloud tops warming now.

Looks like older construction.. at the least the roof on those classroom buildings is gone.. that is just behind where Jeff was located at the car wash. They took some of the highest winds I bet.

Polygonal eyewalls aren't that uncommon. You know the Isabel pictures with the weird pentagon shapes in the eye? It's similar to that.

Was outrageous in Rockport. You are removed from the worst but obviously not far off. All I can tell you is the storm isn't moving much. It's just kind of spinning around and wobbling and drifting. NAM is the only model out right now and doesn't move it much for about 3 days. It just mulls around. I was warning master about the possibility of unheard of timeframes people would likely be affected. Lots of damage to your southeast. Hopefully that stays away from you enough that you can catch a break or whatever. It's not pretty, but you are lucky so far. I have no idea if it's going to meander north, west, south or just spin. It won't stay as a Cat 4 for 3 days, but you will probably not get much relief during that time. Keep us posted if you keep service and a charge.

They seem more pronounced on radar than ever though, I’m wondering if it is maintaining strength or starting to wind down?

We're going to be reading about this for a long time. Hurricane Harvey is already a legendary storm.
