NHC notes the SSE movement to confirm I am not crazy. It sure seems faster than 1mph.

Looks more like it have been stuck in the same place for hours, maybe a small SE movement, but not much.

Models have it slowing down and not making it offshore today, but it looks like it will be there in 8-12 hours on radar

We are ok in Humble ( well my subdivision). My Dad and two siaters are ok in Santa Fe. Still trying to reach my third sister. She is 2 miles away in Santa Ee.intense rain all night long. The most intense i have ever seen for that period of time. Sadly, there is more to come

This is certainly good advice but.... consider the difficulty of getting from inside your home to the top of your roof when there's 6 -8 feet of running water outside.

In an age during which information is as close as a hand-held phone people are still claiming that this "popped up" or were taken by surprise.

They should not have been surprised. This is only going to get worse.
