All of these images etc. are great, but for the love of God will people stop quoting them when responding to a message containing them? Mods have mentioned this on several occasions but it hasn't seemed to take.

What is that supposed to mean?

Expect Feeder Bands to refire in the GOM and rotate onshore.

Frank, when I scroll down their front page it is there with a link-
15 rescued from Dickinson Nursing home.

artist, I found it earlier.. I for the love of me can't believe, but in this impossible situation I guess anything is possible.. I can't find anything that says this publication is known for giving out fake info either...

Yeah, kprc, the live link just spoke of it, stating all had been rescued, showing the photo as well.

Yea, it should still probably be a low end depression by then, but the concern is more convection and rain fall since it will be feeding from the GOM

Everything S of Alexandria and W of Lafayette is getting drenched.

Harris County (Houston) emergency director Ed Emmett (@edemmett on Twitter) just said on CNN that if this was a hurricane, they would have evacuated people. But it's just a "RAIN EVENT" so they did not. Are you kidding me? For the official in charge of emergency management in natural disasters to dissociate the flooding in Houston from Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey is so disingenuous and dangerous.

That is a stupid statement. Evacuating 6 million people says easier than it does.

I'm not saying the logistics of evacuating that many people is easy or even feasible. I'm saying it's disingenuous and dangerous to pretend like this is just a rain event and not due to a tropical cyclone. In context, he was saying, I/we did a good job because this is a just "rain event" and we could not have anticipated it.

There is the elephant in the room.

You can't evacuate 6 million people. Hurricane, rain event, or otherwise.

Getting tough to follow the COC on radar.

Best bet seems to be directions of bands coming on shore and high zoom view on visible. Can tell system is still drifting ESE towards coast

So that was a real picture, good grief!

One of the most horrifying pictures I have ever seen.

That breaks my heart. The whole situation is terrible. Prayers going for Texas and for safety for those going to help.
