In the total doppler estimated rainfall you can see the 25+ line expanding east. A LOT of flooding yet to occur, please stay vigilant everyone, the bigger rivers are next.

Can't see much north component right now, either. T-storm tops being blown off to the north.

Either that or the gauge is having issues. Hard to know for sure but hopefully it has stabilized and isn’t a gauge issue.

I checked Weatherbell 12Z Euro plots to make sure, GFS now has a very similar solution. Some north drift, then southeast, then NE and inland.

So far I have not seen anything about an error. When the other dam's sensor went out the readings stopped.

Little band that sparked the tornado warning is coming through here now. Don't let that Orange tongue of dry air fool you. Whatever layer it's at is above the rain which I assume is falling from the lower levels. Street is filling up a little but that's normal for my block these days. Luckily bands only rolled through today making things manageable. Harvey on tv and a little in person could have been the last storm of what is now on the way to being a defining season and it would have been too much. We have a long way to go and probably more US threats the way the pattern has been evolving. We will never see this again.

The LL Center is moving Eastward, the mid and upper level is moving northward.

It could be making a cyclonic loop, good thing it is highly sheered and with little time left over warm water.

It's got lots of time over water if parallels the coast.

It is out of service. From the gauge webpage, "The USGS sensor has stopped responding. USGS personnel are on site setting up a temporary site." I believe it was posted earlier on here that they are expecting the levels to continue rising until an 8/31 crest in the 110' range (cannot remember the exact). The rain may be stopping, but the larger bayou and river flooding will take days to resolve.

I think that eastward movement is just that same vortex that's been making a counter-clockwise loop all day going east. I think it'll rotate north shortly. Have to watch storm as a whole and ignore that vortex.
