Morning folks. Irma's looking potent on that 1 minute GOES-16 loop. Great bookmark right there.

Models still zeroed in on Florida this morning. I'm giving the models another 2 cycles to budge before I sound the alarms. I have family living on Hollywood Beach, and I don't want them to be fighting the evacuation crowds later in the week.

Today's going to be a long day. Time to brew some coffee.

i just purchased 50 gallons for my generator in fort lauderdale and no line at 630 am, early morning is always the best time plus they get fuel deliveries early...good luck if you evacuate, drive safely

That's insane. I can't believe we're experiencing a storm like this. This could be one of the all time strongest storm in the Atlantic. I don't know what more I can say for the people living there but to hope for the best...this thing is a monster.
