Wild ride right now in the USVI I'd imagine. BVI have a chance to regroup while in the eye. Looks like the outer eyewall is coming close to PR now. Cycloneye hold on to your hat and stay safe.....MGC

Wikipedia suggests there are two Buck Islands in the area. One near St. Thomas and one near St. Croix. Not clear which one is being referenced

Most likely St Thomas, St Croix is further south and they are not in the inner eyewall.

Irma already ingesting dry air from the flow over Puerto Rico, I would expect the pressure to keep rising. Next, Hispaniola will certainly have a negative effect, even without direct contact.

Just got a text from my dad in Aguirre, PR (Southeast side of island). He said the are getting alot of rain but not too much wind yet. He does still have power.

Puerto Rico is just too small of an island to make an impact. In fact latest recon indicates pressure is dropping rapidly, down to 913mb extrap.
