I hope everyone who stayed behind is on a second or third story.

I swear there's a new tornado warning every time I refresh Twitter (about every 4-5 minutes). Incredible. Someone should count them all when Irma is over...

I don't see any requests for rescue on any social media yet, so hopefully that means everyone either left or is safe and not that they just aren't able to communicate...

That will continue into the day tomorrow. Even as storm moves out of state of Fl, there will be feeder bands rotating out of the Gulf of Mexico and over Fl. Tornadic activity in those.

I believe the League City NWS office issued upwards of 120 tornado warnings during Harvey.

Weather will be going down hill soon, the first true feeder bands approaching Orlando, winds will continue to pick up , worst will be around 11 PM-5 AM.
I'm north of Altamonte Springs. Longwood - Seminole County. Light intermittent rains and gusts around 35 mph. so far. It's been that way the last 2 days (rain). We are near the Wekiva River Basin and lots of old trees. We are prepared to be without power for some time...probably sooner than later. If anyone else is in my area, Lyman High School is a pet friendly shelter. It's not too late if you are in a mobile home, go now.
Good luck, neighbors.
I'm in Seminole County as well, Forest City, Bear Lake area. Too bad the worst winds will be in the middle of the night, there's going to be some nice white caps on that lake and I would had loved to film it.
I'm just up from a little nap so I can make it through the night. I haven't peeked out the window yet, but I can hear much heavier rain right now.
I was telling my sister, who is here with me, that it seems we are always riding them out at night! I do not like not being able to see what's coming!

Yeah, might actually be worse up ahead in Naples. I think Janie mentioned that earlier. Naples more likely to have a longer wind event, spending more time in the NE eyewall itself, and less in the calmer eye. Don't anticipate any significant weakening either, between Marco Island and Naples. Too much energy flow off the gulf, eye still riding the coast.

As if it's taking a nice wobble to the right to go inland!

He did mention for people to not call him and put his phone on silent. It could be that he's just trying to capture the hurricane without extra commentary. Hopefully...
