The chill is settin' in here in Phoenix. Only 93 for a high on Friday. Gloves and ski caps will be sellin' like Krispy Kremes!!!

Enjoy the weekend folks...a busy four weeks ahead of me. If you don't see me around...come knockin' on the door to check on me.

Highlight of the day today? Emma laughed out loud at her granny on the phone tonight. Usually she either eats it or hangs up by pushing the buttons.

Of course, I was on THIS end of the conversation and I was laughing out loud at granny's antics on the phone too! Too bad it wasn't on video!

I wish the chill would move far enough south for me to feel it here in south/central Florida. I so dislike getting up in the morning to a wall of heat and humidity. It will also be nice to sleep with the windows open and be able to use a blanket!

The antibiotic that my doctor prescribed to me really worked. I first had the scratchy throat and then I felt feverish and achy. I slept from 5:00 pm Friday to Saturday morning! Then the thoat got really sore and I was very congested, but it was centered more around my ears and throat. I had felt like my throat wanted to close up. By Tuesday I called the doctor and the medication helped to break it up quickly. I hadn't been ill like that for a long time. What's pissing me off now is that I'm sneezing alot AGAIN!!!!
You had the same thing I did!!!! Started as sore throat and nausea...then when down to a chest cold... (constant pressure around my breastbone). Sunday slept for 12 hours straight! Monday major sinus pressure and congestion, tuesday and wednesday fine. Thursday it came back with sore throat and coughing...hoarse voice thursday night....and today, its been congestion, coughing and runny nose (I'm trying to catch it lol ;) ) No medications are working today :(

Heck week next week....3 midterms (M, W, F), 2 assignments due on Thurs and 1 quiz (tues), along with a huge project due on Friday.

The nose always knows!

I just followed the smoke signals and the scent of a pot belly stove and found my way home again...

Gosh but I've missed you guys!! HUGE hugs hello to all the old friends and hugs hello to all the new ones that I have yet a chance to meet!! :D

I am actually enjoying a day at home today....no where to go except the grocery, no plans to go anywhere either!Fall is in the air here in Argyl of Pa.We went from summer heat to fall coolness...I like that it means that winter cannot be to far off...and that means..SNOW!!!

My airline job has kept me away from home more then I thought it would in the beginning. It's okay, it's the way it is supposed to go.Giving hubby and I a chance to see what it will be like when I am away for days at a time.I have to publically state here that my fella is AMAZING!! Roles have changed here at home, for years I was the stay at home mom, holding down the fort. Now he is the one holding down the fort.Took a few weeks for us to get used to it.I have to say that he is doing a banner job at taking care of the house, the kids, the pets and still working a fourty hour work week.LOL....sorry ladies he is not for sale...but I will lend him out from time to time :D

I brought some homemade chicken soup for all of you who are sitting round the stove bundled up, boxes of tissues at hand...LOL..it looks like a gigantic tissue box up and sneezed!Prayers for healing of all your icky germs..and right quick at that!!

Dennis....mister you better be a good ole boy while Michelle is away, we have eyes in the back of our heads that can cover hundreds of miles!! We don't have to be there to know if you are snacking on things you should'nt be snacking on or staying up to late or forgetting to do your chores....tell her for me I hope she has a wonderful time!! You guys need and deserve a nice relaxing vacation....Have fun!!

Karan...good to see you again hon..thanks for the tea...you know it always hits the spot with me!Darn cold in our state of late isn't it?That's when tea tastes the best..after a walking in the morning chill....tea goes great with chocolate KK's too!! Hugs to you, keeping you in thought and prayer!

Miss Mary.....are you ready for winter yet?? :D

Skyman...welcome home fella! so glad to read that you and the wife had a great time on the islands.Hawaii is on my places to see someday. When the tots learn to talk or laugh on the phone instead of eating it or hangin up it becomes one of the more pleasurable things in life to call them.Yesterday I was sitting in the terminal in cincy waiting for my flight home.I called Kiah..who is four..she screeched when she heard my voice and began to chatter and laugh....joy for the soul, certainly gave me a smile and made the wait all that much more bearable!

Furry gal....good to see you too! So sorry to hear about puppy, here is hoping that he or she is well on the mend. You got puppy at the pound....good for you!! In a month or so we intend to go and bring home another member of the family. Not to replace Sinje..but rather to honor his memory. He would want us to save a fellow brother or sister dog from the pound and open our home. How's the vote on schooling going? My best to your fella hon..take care! :D

My fella will be home for lunch soon, we actually get to have lunch together today...cherish these days so much more as they are few and far between. It's grilled cheese with tomatoes for lunch...good ole comfort food!!

Take good care my friends, be blessed in all that you do and say...enjoy your day and rejoice for it is the day that the Lord has made!!

Blessings and love, Raine

LOL.....like the new trick I taught crouton dear david??!! Now whenever you have a chocolate KK, crouton will "fetch" them from you and "retrieve" them to me!!Who says and ole piggy can't learn a new trick!

LOL Raine!

Well, just a slight bit of throat dryness, and a sniffle or two, but I am doing better! Shannon, you had a relapse? That sucks!!! I hope you get feeling better for midterm week! We had different kinds of sickness! Mine started with just a raw sore throat, then turned into a head cold, then my throat got scratchy and I was coughin up a storm! At any rate, I am going to keep taking my vitamins and hope I can hold of anymore colds for a while!!!

What an odd day! LOL- cloudier than it has been in a week, and also the warmest, how does that work!? Just kiddin, I know how, SW winds, I just think it is funny!

Well, lemme just snag an Apple Cinnamon KK and I will be on my way, have a good afternoon everyone! Fight them GERMS!!!!

Good Evening Everyone!

Raine & Tracey - so good to hear from you again! I didn't know that you had gone back to work Raine. Sounds like things are working out well for you!

Shannon - that cold or flu bug is running rampade around here - and the country it seems! I hope you, Jackie, Ticka, Joshua and everyone else feels better soon!

I had some frost on my windshield this morning. It was 40 degrees out when I get up. We went from summer to almost winter in a matter of a week. That is alittle too fast for me. The fros t is about 10 days early and front what I've read here, it doesn't necessarily mean that we're in for a bad winter. Actually, last year at this time, we were still in the 80's. Today we were 20 degrees colder.

I have to work tomorrow. My PC still isn't fixed but I have a loaner with no Internet access. :( I'll pop in again when I get home.

In the meantime, I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

Hey all......

Bad story today... I was in 3rd block this am, and we were watching Caddyshack. Well, we skipped this one scene where the caddy and his girl were...uh...in a suggestive position. Well at the end this guy that I used to be friends w/ suggested that I actually wanted to watch that stuff?!?!?!? I was ANGRY........ it was all I could do NOT to annihilate him on the spot........ Man, I was mad.

Other than that and this cool weather, no problems. I'll leave some tea boiling and some KK's on the table......

Good night and God bless,

Jeremy

Raine, Tracy, nice you see you gals again...glad you found your way back to the pbs to warm up from the cold streaks around the country.

Alright, who taught Crouton how to fetch???? He doesn't return it to the original person...he brings it to a new friend!

Good Morning!

Well, the Good Lord saw it fit for me to rise another day 8-) What a beautiful morning indeed, a nice, cool 36° at the moment with puffy clouds hangin' on the mountain tops......almost looks like winter  Looks like more rain in the forecast for the beginning of next week, sure hope so, we still need it. Haven't heard the latest but there was/is another wildland fire threating the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, I don't if this past system put it out or what, last I heard the fire was at 68,000 acres and evacuations were in order for parts of the Park. 99% of the state is still in extreme to exceptional drought conditions, especially the very northern part.....we can only hope for a decent snow pack this year, it's gonna take YEARS to end this drought, in fact, some are saying that it's almost too late.....this drought has gone on for so long and we are so far behind in moisture, that it may NEVER catch up.

ANYWAYS......not much else going on, heading to the driving range here as soon as the sun comes up. Make it a GREAT weekend would ya?

Hi Everyone, I'll have a quick cup of coffee. I have'nt been around much. My parents are coming to visit today so yesterday was a cleaning day. I did such a good job (?) on the bathroom floor, that the "decision was made" to do the kitchen floor too!
That turned into cleaning the stove since we had to move it, and I have'nt got to the refrigerator loctaion yet. Anyone have a hand truck?

Dennis, I'll bet that cool weather is nice. It's been cool here for about a week. Have you been "good?"

Pojo, glad you're feeling a little better. As long as you're coughing stuff up, that's a good thing.

Hey Rock, good to hear from you. Glad you kept your cool. What do you expect from worldly people?

Hi, vbhoutex, hows your project coming?

Steph, we had frost one morning so far.

Stormcrazy, glad you're feeling a little better too.

Hi Raine, greetings. You were a WX Porchian and stovian were'nt you? I was a newbie and never knew you that well.

Hi TLC, good to hear from you

Janswizard, why don't you send some of that heat to tropicalweatherwatcher. It should be getting to the warm season in Austraila soon, shouldn't it?

Hi Skyman and David too.

Good afternoon all!!

I feel GREAT!!! My cold is gone, aside from a sneeze or two, but that is normal for me!! I hope everyone else is recovering!!!

Today is an absolutely fabulous day! Gorgeous, and while still a few degrees under our normal high this time of year, it is very comfortable and warmer than I have seen here in over a week!! A great day to do anything outdoors, so I think I'll take a walk or something! Not too much foliage around here yet, but I am awaiting it, and my camera is ready! :D

Well, tomorrow starts my busy work schedule once again, but I need it! Two months off from work was enough to make me go crazy, and now it is time to bring home the bacon and catch up on my bills!! LOL

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!!!

Good evening, all! I can't believe that Monday is almost
upon us - I need another day off!

Jacki, I'm so glad that you're feeling better! Now, if you
could share that with Shannon, she'd be all better, too!

Ed, you're welcome to do the floors in my house, any time
you want! I won't say a word...:D

TLC and raine, so glad to see you gals! DO visit more often!

It's only been in the low 60°'s here, today, with periods of
light rain. I LOVE these temps!

Everyone have a great Sunday night!

Good Evening All!

Jackie - I'm so glad that you're feeling better!

I only had today off since I worked yesterday - budget season. We've HOPERFULLY wrapped things up. I'm sure that by midweek, I'll be spaced out.

Shannon - you'll be proud of me. The Red Cross is holding a blood drive tomorrow at the local church. I have the last appointment at 7:15 pm. i should be able to get there on time.

This Thursday night I'm going to see with my Mom the "Lord of The Dance". Washington Twp. High School, my alma mater, actually has a huge ampitheater and have been holding alot of great theatrical productions and concerts, including the Moody Blues! I'm looking forward to it!

Today was cool but sunny and alittle breezy out. I was in most of the day to catchup on my cleaning and to watch football.

I'm hope everyone is doing well and have a great night!

Tis good indeed to hear that some people are recovering from the "bugs" that have held them hostage recently. Hopefully, some of the chilly weather will kill the critters that cause the coughs and sneezes for the rest of you.

Have some thunderstorms in the forecast for us the first part of this week. That would be nice...especially if it would spread out a bit from day to day. We shall see.

Cooler here...in the 90's today. Just about normal for this time of year.

Raine...no wonder I couldn't get that training done. I was trying to train David to fetch..and bring the Krispy Kreme to Crouton and then to me. You have the best ideas!

Sorry the workload is so brutal. When I was working at the learning center last year...days were too long. Nothing left of me when I got home. Don't let it consume you completely. Sounds like that hubby has all the right ingredients, but we'll know if he's for real when he starts entering his "baked goods" in the county fair next year and comes home with the ribbons!

We get the trip to see Emma next weekend. Been too long (Labor Day) since the last trip. My son will be in Singapore for 8 days, so Emma will have to let Poppy be the man in her life for a couple of days. Bummer!

Some busy weeks with all kinds of transition at work, but figure that the Cubs made this week a good one already...without Monday morning even arriving yet. My youngest son Jarrod (age 26), decided to use his free ticket to fly to Chicago on Saturday, go to Soldier Field and the Bears game on Sunday, and last I heard, he was somewhere in Wrigleyville tonight partying with a few thousand other crazies. All this on the spur of the moment. Only HE could find that free airplane ticket, a free condo to share with a friend, and free tickets to the Bears game. He surely knows the right people, I guess.

Well...have a great week everyone. I'll stop by now and then...but not too often. Seems that work has to take a priority!

Well, I'll be the first to say GOOD MORNING ALL! :D

Coriolis, that "project" still needs my attention. Maybe tomorrow? I really need to a "cleaning project" today!! :o

Dennis, your weather is WEIRD!!! How can it go from the 90's to lows of 36º so quick? :?: Must be something to do with the rim??? When does that vacation start?? We're trying to warn all the golfers along your travel path!!! :P  Actually, I bet you are a good golfer, aren't you? Care to give us any numbers?

Glad to know you have recovered quickly Jacki!!! Wally World watch out!!! She is ready to go!!! :o

Steve, I presume there will be pictures forthcoming of the man of the house with his favorite "girl" from the upcoming trip. Tell my birthday mate hi for me!!!

I'm almost like a little kid in one aspect tonight(hey who opened the peanut gallery? ). I inherited a fancy rain guage from my Dad which I finally got to Houston after 4 years, and now that I have it "installed" it is raining and it is working. It measures to the 1/100th of an inch so this weather addict is happy! :D

Gonna have to go after some of that beauty sleep soon so I better say good bye for now!!

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL WEEK!!!
