Residing at 20000 feet

#1 Postby Pileus » Sun Jul 06, 2003 4:19 pm

If ya'll could live in the upper atmosphere anywhere above our country,
what altitude and what location would you choose ? I'm talking about
experiencing the weather first hand where it first develops 24/7. Playing
in the jet stream or floating along a warm front? No I havent been smokng
any wacky baky. I just have it bad. I would reside along a jet streak.

solar powered prop vehicles, plus heli baloons for night, will make this possible, for a bit of money. Eternally aloft solar powered vehicles are being researched now.
Also look into carbon nanotubules as skyhooks.

Interesting question. I don't think I would like to reside too far above the surface of the earth. The pressure change would give us all a massive headache.

This term was used several days ago. It seems to me to be a figure of speech, like that 'not so nice saying,' "what are you smoking."
