they already went through the strongest part.. it is maybe 75mph right now..

Good, glad to see Nate on the weakening trend. We don't need any more hurricane damage in this country!

Gee will New Orleans even get a shower out of Nate? Radar definitely showing the storm is nearly dry on its west side and appears to be moving N-NE now.

They already had a squall move through earlier this afternoon/morning. It was more of an outflow type squall, which was a good sign that the convection was going to die out.

I agree with this. Although the trend looks encouraging, I am more intrigued to know what the NE quad looks like. 60 knots in this pass might support weakening, but I have a hunch this isn't the strongest wind in the storm. This should still be treated like a decent hurricane, in my opinion.

As this increasingly becomes half a hurricane, The center is likely going to be difficult to call thru landfall because it'll be open. As most of the models show, it's going to be lopsidedv. The convective eastern eyewall that starts to spread out will matter more than the center. That is likely to be located primarily east of Gulfport when it's all said and done

Wow, this does appear to already be moving a hair east of due north.
