The system is not well-organized, with convection being sheared to the north and leaving the Low-Level Circulation Center exposed, while a recent ASCAT pass showed an elongated circulation with Tropical Depression-threshold winds.

Development into a Tropical Storm seems unlikely, but it will continue dumping heavy rainfall to northern Andhra Pradesh, parts of Odisha, and in some parts of West Bengal during the next couple of days, with totals of 200mm+ possible in some places.
