The model that meteorologist Joe Haynes of KTBS 3 Shreveport uses output has Texarkana receiving 4.37" of snow. This pretty much jibes with the rest of the afternoon model's output.

Seems as such...yet again. This winter has been a big ol bust so far. Just cold weather doesn't make a winter.

It's not a bust until it happens. Wait until the event happens. Which should be tonight

Unfortunately I have a clinic in Jacksonville and was hoping (wishing) we might get to cancel the clinic.

Man temps dropped fast here down from 57 to 47 in the past 30 mins. And some good rain showers around which supports the additional moisture shown on recent model runs.

PWAT values are currently above normal at DFW, moisture is here...the question is how long will it stick around

Local TV mets in Austin say it will cause travel problems but they don’t seem too bullish on precipitation totals.

Looking at the radar, some snow is popping up near the red river.

I'll probably wait until tomorrow evening to go biking - after the temps cool down a bit. Don't want to overheat.

I believe someone asked about Tyler and another about Austin. Limited moisture in Tyler, too, but not as much as DFW area. Could see 1/2 inch to an inch of snow there. As for Austin, sleet and freezing rain to start with but you could see a bit of snow as the precip ends around noon.

I believe that might be possible/likely.

Model consensus for Tyler is 2 to 4 inches maybe a but higher. Looking at a quarter to half inch of liquid. So far from limited moisture here.

Yep if Tyler were to only get .5 snow then I might as well get my kids in N Dallas area start getting dressed for school tomorrow. Curious as to what he seeing that many (not all) models and the NWS are not for that area. (I do realize its not a forecast, just curious of what is leading to believe so I can look too)

Patchy radar return for some red river counties as the atmosphere is moistening up that way. Not sure if it is reaching the ground

These bust talks before events are even forecast to start are getting rediculous. If there's no snow on the radar in 6 hours, then you can call it a bust. There's at least a slight chance that the Dallas area could get over 1 inch of snow tonight. Better chances as you head south and east across central and east TX. Major travel issues likely in SA, Austin, and at least the northside of Houston tomorrow.
