Tor Con.....
Dr. Greg Forbes
I am raising TOR:CON to 5 for southeast MO, northeast AR, south IL, south IN, west TN, west KY today. The rest of the forecast stays as I posted earlier/below.
It is going to be an active spring day of severe thunderstorms from TX and LA to the Midwest. NWS/SPC has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of northeast TX and bits of adjacent states until 6PM (2.5" hail, 70 mph gusts)

I don't like it one bit.
I remember in 1999 we had a day like this. Flurries just a few days ago, temps spiked into the 70's, upper air winds very fast, and when outside you would get the occasional blast of cold air still lurking here and there in the valleys (I assume). We ended up with and F1 and F4 tornado, one ripping across I275, killing 4 people and devastating neighborhoods and woodlands near the highway. I drove right by the location daily and the path of the tornado was clear.

Couple of TORs close by , but all I see is " a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near" with no confirmations.
