Only breezy here since before noon. We had a shower this morning, but no rain since then. It has been overcast all day. Our forecast called for 3" of rain over the next two days. Doesn't look very promising however.

Each westward jolt Alberto does will bring it over warmer waters. These hybrid storms are always complicated to monitor.

Well early on many models had that pronounced bend back to the west as it approached the panhandle... that pronounced bend seemed to have vanished with the models of late... at least not as pronounced as what is currently developing... now that I wrote this is will immediately start moving north..

It's averaging out to a NW/NNW movement, as forecasted. Almost a naked swirl. Not sure if warmer SST's are going to be that much of a help with these bad conditions aloft.

How far west are y'all thinking??

In destin and the winds are kicking. I suck at estimation but it's kicking is all I can say. No rain other than a drop here and there. So yeah for an overcast beach day.

Oh and double red flags. Patrols working to keep dumbasses out of the water.

I'd guess Alberto is probably around 50 knots and is now Tropical.
