The dry slot has rotated into the west side of the circulation and will eventually be evacuated out of the system.

Long range radar out of Eglin showing some yellow and orange convection returns just NE of the center. First I've seen that strong a return in hours.

I can't find a single trustworthy 12z and now 18z model that doesn't either strengthen it or maintain it to landfall.

I trust a few sources... climotology, living here forever and radar. Be happy to bet you a beer on it. Doubt it will lstrngthen unless it stalls for awhile. Lotta dry air and alot of tightening it would have to do.

Hmm, I can't speak for Aric but I think I'll take that bet. None of that tinny can light beer though, let's at least make it some decent craft beer lol! Should we base the bet on a 10 mph increase wind speed, or perhaps a 3 mb drop in pressure?

4mb drop since the last recon passage. Now we wait for the dropsonde data to confirm it.

Edit: 2mb drop (992) according to dropsonde.
