Good evening! Eric!!! So good to see you! Do pop in and share
the fun, anytime! Those non-caloric KK's are yummy, eh? ;)

Pburgh, my Mom got right out and painted another porch,
today....LOL...you got the "bull-headed" part pegged! :D

Jeremy, you enjoy that break from school! I can't wait until
the snow starts flying and our office gets closed, this Winter!
Mere flurries will tend to send folks home, scurrying!

Tom, do enjoy the visit with your family - what a nice
surprise!

I came home from work to find the neighborhood inundated
with...YARD SALES!!! Oh, no...this is...THAT weekend!
The annual Oktoberfest/Meriwether-Lewis Arts & Crafts Fair.
It originally started in nearby Lewis County, to the west of
me in Hohenwald, TN, but, those yard sales start here in
Summertown, as you get off of Hwy 43 onto Hwy 20, and go
straight for 20 miles west into Hohenwald! The actual Craft Fair
is at the Meriwether-Lewis State Park, about 15 miles west
of here. My neighbors are selling loads of stuff in their front
lawns...it's yard sale heaven! LOL, not me! I got rid of five
truckloads before I moved here, and, I will not accumulate it,
again!

Everyone have a great night!

well haven't stopped around in a while....have one MASSIVE project due Friday at 11am!!! (hey...it will make up for the exam score!)

I see Eric has found his way over to the PBS.... It's nice to hear from him again. :D

Anyone have any good ideas on how to get rid of a migraine. :?: :?: I had a really horrible migraine on Tuesday morning that I was extremely incoherent of myself....I didn't know who I was, were I was going, why my alarm was set for 0345 (and again for 0700...read on), why the cat was laying by my head (he was the wake-up call thanks to my little dorky brother). I had to support myself on the guard chair when I was standing up...and since I was a hazard on the pool deck, my Neenah-Menasha Y boss let me go home early (0545 I punched out and headed for home). Any light, sound aggravated it, and I was nausous all day long!!! :o I took Excedrin Migraine, but that seemed to work for about an hour, and then 70% of the pressure came back....I would have skipped classes on tuesday, but I had a lab that I could not miss! :o Working at Broadview Y was another story....that was pure misery!

Saturday morning snooze??? Goodness I wish!!!! That'd be nice, I work at 0515 til 1230! I sleep in on Sunday's though!

Hi y'all

I think that it was Foghorn Leghorn who said "some days it don't pay to get out of bed." When I got up this morning I found that our "puppy" ate my glasses! I've been walking around in a blur all day. Thank goodness I have a pair of prescription sunglasses for driving. If I had caught him in the act I could have given him consequences, but hours later he doesn't remember, so I couldn't do anything. Other things happened too, so today was "one of those days." I'm cheering up here among friends, so I'll be ok.

Pojo, sorry, I don't have a remedy for migranes. I hope it goes away. Sheesh, everyone is so busy lately. I get tired just hearing about it. Good luck on your project. I know you will do well.

Jacki, you too? We're all busting our hump. What's up with that?

Karan, thanks for the KK's. I'll have a cup of earl grey tea. A break from coffee... I have a confession to make: I backslid and am smoking again. I was nicotine free for about a month. I'm still kicking myself over that. Got to muster my resolve and try, try again.

Hey Annette, Did you say yard sale? I have to stay away from them. Around here they used to be Saturday only. Then people started them on Friday. Now today I saw a bunch -on Thursday! What's this world coming to? And Annette, get yourself some rest. Don't overcommitt or else you'll end up like the rest of us.

Jeremy, enjoy your days off. Like I was tellin Breeze, I don't get any of them any more.

Hi Skywatch! ditto on the hot/cold blooded thing. My wife and one son are hot blooded. They'll have windows open in January. My mother-in-law is cold blooded. She's always cold. When I come home, I often find all the windows open and the heat running on blast! ARRGH. I see dollar bills sprouting wings and flying out the window.

Hi VB, lookin forward to seeing more of you here.
You want to take my place at work for a while? We can tag team it.

Hey Tom, do you mean that you didn't know that your brother was married? That WOULD be a surprise!

Hi Mary. I have some windows that could use some paint. Waddayasay?

Garrett, hope you get over the bronchitis. that's definitely not fun. I'll have some hot chocolate after I finish this tea.

LOL, sorry for the long post. I feel like I'm in a receiving line! But thanks everyone, I'm cheered up now.

ERIC!! WELCOME HOME!!!! WE'VE MISSED YOU!!! Stop by more often now, ya hear? I know you've been busy elsewhere, but don't be so scarce around here!!!

Karan, Thanks for the chocolate KK!!! I got to it before Crouton this time!!! He does have a more contented look on his face doesn't he?

One more thing to do in the bathroom and it is finished!!! Most people wouldn't know it needs to be done, but we do!

Had to pull out the oars today to get around!!! Almost all of SE Texas is afloat!!! We had 2.82" here at the house. Ticka is up over 5" as is Southerngale. Check out her flooding pictures in the USA weather forum!!

Hey Jeremy have a great 4 day weekend!!!! I always relished those!!! I hope you are better at putt-putt than I am!!! Only played real Golf 4 times and decided the 108 I shot the fourth time was good enough to live with. I can't remember how many sheets to the wind I was, but it was several!!!!  It was a true score for 18 holes too.

Well, Coriolis I'd take you up on the tag teaming offer, except for one little thing-the commute would be a killer for me!!!

POJO!!! The best thing for migraines is no light, lie in bed and don't move!!! The only other thing I know that works is major pain pills!!! I HATE MIGRAINES!!! AND SO DOES THE WIFE!!! All four of our family have suffered from them, but the wife is the worst by far.

That's it for now folks. Catch ya later!!

Shannon...have you tried Imitrex, Amerge, or Migranol?
Migranol has a quick nasal spay that tends to do the trick
in about 15 minutes...These are the leading migraine medicines...
...if the Excedrin Migraine didn't work, you need to get a 'script
from your Doc for one of these! If it keeps hangin' on, my
friend, you need one of these!

LOL, yes, Ed - YARD SALES!!! Arrrrgh!! People...they're everywhere!
Thanks for the concern - LOL, I just love the extra $$$! I rest
three weekends out of four - I promise!

David, ya'll need to be callin' on Moses for guidance,
Brother - hope ya'll have those boats ready! On the
serious side, DO stay safe...keep us informed!

pojo - when I get a bad migraine I just want to put my head in the freezer.....sounds wacky but that blast of cold helps. Of course I don't do that.....bag of ice does the trick. If I get one in the winter, just stepping outside helps too. I also sip cola (preferably Pepsi) and munch on pretzles with salt. Seems to help. An over the counter pain med called Vanquish works great, but has aspirin in it and it's hard to find. Finally, if you squeeze the area between your thumb and index finger, hold it for 10 seconds or more, and repeat this on each hand about 10 times, it's supposed to send blood to the brain. When I'm really desperate I try that! Read that somewhere in a magazine....old Chinese tip.

Hope you feel better!!!!

Eric - I'm still so happy you're back!!!

Annette/Jeremy - come on down, we'll get these windows done in no time.....now Ed......I don't do other people's windows....LOL Sorry there friend. I swear my next house will have vinyl clad windows!!!!

Night all.

No Ed. :) My brother and sister-in-law coming along with my sister and brother-in-law was the surprise.

As David said, please come here more frequently. It would be great to make yourself known here with all your wxbuddies. :D

Oh Crap!!!!!

I just typed for about 15 minutes and my message got zapped somehow. Shoot!!!!!

Anyway, Good Morning Stovians

It's a beautiful day here in the Burgh!!! TGIF, can't wait to go home, kick back, open a bottle of wine and relax on the patio. Won't be able to do that for much longer.

Rock, don't take up golfing!!!!! It will on frustrate you. No, seriously it's a great hobby - I won't call it a sport cause I ride a cart and get no exercise!!!

Breeze, I would have bet money that your Mom would have been painting. I know the type - ME!!!lol I'm commin down for those garage sales!!!! I'll be stoppin at Miss Mary's to help with her windows and then it Trash to Treasure at your place!!!

Stormcrazy, I lovvvvvvve to sleep in on the weekends!!!!

Ed, please don't tell VB(David), but I was ashamed to tell you that I had started smoking again. No, No David quit, quit, stop smacking my hands. We'll try again soon.

Garrett, so glad you're feeling better.

Shannon, take care girl. I use a bag of frozen peas instead of a bag of ice. Seems more flexible.
Do you think the stress of your MASSIVE project might have intensified the pain??? ((Hugs))

Coldfront, nothing like family. Enjoy

Well I'll stoke the fire, put on a fresh pot of coffee and brew some Earl Grey for Miss Mary and all others who may have acquired the taste of this fine blend of tea. I've left some snickerdoodles (love that name) on the mantel.

Enjoy the day and take care my friends,

Karan

Hey Eric, keep thing "This Day In Weather History".

Hey gang!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Looks like we're working again tomorrow (Saturday). My poor boss, who's getting married Sunday is about to totally lose it. The big wigs at corporate have more changes to the budget that we started back in June. Feel the revenue may be too aggressive. No sh!t!!! They couldn't have told that from all of the reports we've been sending them???? ARGHHHHHH!!!! :x

Yesterday, I went to see "Lord of the Dance" with my Mom and her fiance, Dan. I never saw it in theater before, only on television. It was FANTASTIC!!!!

Hope you're all doing well and getting over your colds. WELCOME BACK Skywatch!!!! :D

K, now you both have to promise to give yourself and your families a Christmas present of stopping smoking for good!!!! I WANT A PROMISE!!!!!
BTW, are there any other quitters out there that have quit quitting? Support groups are always better.

We seem to be drying out today, finally. but it has clouded over again.

Johnathan! What a nice surprise!! Enjoy your family time!!

That's it for now. Heading to the P-in-laws for our regular Friday get together. Ciao for now.

Thank goodness its FRIDAY!!! I needed this week to end!

breeze wrote:Shannon...have you tried Imitrex, Amerge, or Migranol?

Unfortunately, I can't use nasal sprays....I sneeze out everything that I just sprayed in :( Anyways, usually Excedrin migraine does the trick, I'll talk to my doc about that when I go in again. The stress from the project might have some migraine issues, but I really don't know why it came on this strong. That is the worst migraine I've ever had....I can't remember the last time that I was that incoherent! Excedrin migraine does the trick, but in this instance, the meds did not work.

Wonderful Fall Day around Green Bay!!! High Temperatures this week have been around 80*. There was fog this morning, but it was extremely nice to see....considering this is the 10th of Oct. If I remember right, today is the last day of the gorgeous fall weather...then back to normal conditions.

If you guys would like to see some color....come up to Green Bay. Driving into classes (and then walking to them) is really neat. We have a sugar Maple tree on campus that outer leaves are beat red; yet the inside is a dark green color....very picturesque. The hwy 41, 172 interchange in Ashwaubenon has trees that are orange, yellow, red, brown and green....all mixed in neatly! Approximately 30-40% color around Green Bay.
