IT also has an west and northwest partial eyewall. Weird for a subtropical system...Very.

Meanwhile, St Pete Clearwater (KPIE) has south winds at 36mph gusting to 45mph...far stronger than when the area was under a TS warning...

This is the most tropical that Alberto has looked in all of its life. Looks like we might have to wait for post-analysis to see if it is tropical or not.

Center is starting to become better organized. other vorts seem to have weakened. convection wrapping around. systems really love to do this right before landfall.
