Like I said in earlier post. RI is not out of question. New tower over center going uo... Think we are about to see a huge CDO from Gordon. I think the ULL over Cuba for next 12 hours will be hindering some development... Alhough egom is very warm!

Heh, yeah I guess I could have been a little more clear on that. I'll typically throw up a year abbreviation if I'm referencing a system from another year (such as Maria '17 if I was referencing last year's system), but I can understand the confusion considering to notoriety of last year's system.

Regardless, Gordon's evolution on radar does remind me of Super Typhoon Maria early in its lifecycle just prior to Guam landfall. Here's a Tweet of mine from the time as the inner core rapidly developed on that one.

I was just watching a few PWS in the marco island. The eyewall is brushing the coast now.. however... Strongest winds I have seen are 15mph out of the east.
