Gordon...the little storm that couldn't. After showing that quick organization yesterday it just never happened. that's about the best you can hope for at this time of year. good luck to all in the path. those squalls should provide some solid entertainment.

Storms like Gordon and Nate just move too fast for their own good.

15 mph is not too fast for development.

Re: ATL: GORDON - Tropical Storm - Discussion
hard to tell. but the last 30 min on radar compared to the last 2 hours looks like the center has moved very little. if that is the case it might be trying to tuck under all the convection to the NE which of course would lead to intesification..

I was looking at that too, thinking center re-location or it has put on the breaks. Re-location more likely.

well at this point its not going to reform. just get pulled to the deep convection. will know in the next 30 min or so..

Sorry for the back to back loops but I was having issues getting the WU loop to update. This is saved as of 5 minutes ago.

Re: ATL: GORDON - Tropical Storm - Discussion
yeah per recon the center has slowed and bent back to the west allowing some of this convection to build around it now. could be the start of intensifying.

Overall structure of Gordon is improving rapidly IMO. You can now see feeder bands to it’s south.

last 10 min.. the center on radar ( of course high up ) appears to be sliding to ne and or the convection is rotating around to the NW now. should be interesting to watch..
I was about to take a nap.. lol

I was going to mention this. It looks like a very quick relocation to the east or northeast to me.

Looks like a lot of rain for you guys in Ft. Walton as well as here in P'cola regardless of where he goes inland. Breezy overcast day so far here...no rain, yet.
