The balloons were AWESOME to say the least! I forgot just how many balloons there were.....something like 800 PLUS! Linda, the Rio Grande is a GREAT river, it's kinda low this year due to the drought in Northern New Mexico.

I thought it seemed a bit low. I had no idea the drought was that bad down there.

800 plus?!! That is alot of balloons. I saw a segment somewhere about these balloons. Conditions have to be just right for them to go up, right?

That's right Linda, winds, temp, humidity play a HUGE roll in the Fiesta. Thurs. morning was a BAD day, over 5 balloon came crashing down, no serious injuries, thank God! A few years back, a balloon hit power lines, needless to say, the out come was tragic.

I've added new photos to the Autumn album, enjoy!

Wonderful pictures Dennis! TWC showed a video of the balloons this morning with all of the different shapes and colors. Amazing!

The colors of the trees were awesome as well! We're starting to see patches of colors - alot of reds, some yellow and orange. I'd say in about another week or so it'll really start to come alive!

THAT is where I watched it. TWC! lol. Thanks for reminding me Steph.

I enjoy this time of year with all the fall colors. Dennis, you are fortunate to live on such a beautiful mountain. It seems to be summer here too. They say it is fall already, but I would like to know where it is. hehe

I've added a few more photos from today, we had to go up high to finish a enviro study......the trees way up high are past peak, these were taken at a lower altitude. ENJOY!

Those were great also.

We're starting to pick up more color around here. What I love about the maples is that their color generally starts at the top and then gradually flows to the bottom branches. It's almost as if they are wearing a crown at first!
