How about a nice cup of Irish Coffee...

#181 Postby stormchazer » Sat Oct 11, 2003 7:28 pm

I live in FL so by rule, cool days are few and far between. When it does get cold and the sniffles set in, a cup of Irish coffee and a jigger of Irish Whiskey is all the warmth I need. Top it with a whisp of whip cream and it is a fine comfort on a cold day. Okay, so I lived in Columbus, OH where it can be more necessary. Try it some cold day. I think you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Well I see that the cinnamon rolls are all gone. Either Karan ate several or... did someone let Crouton in?

It is raining here and the north wind is blowing the leaves off the trees. Hope it doesn't ruin the foilage. It was looking promising this year. We shall see.

Good Sunday morning friends!

I got home from work at about 5:45 pm. I am wiped out and today is my boss's wedding. It'll be fun, but I'd much rather stick around at home. Hopefully, next weekend will be better.

Sounds like people are bringing in all sorts of yummy food...Crouton appreciates it! :D

Hopefully, we'll hear from Dennis today and get the scoop on his vacation.

Eagles paly against Dallas today...it'll be a big game for the eagles if they win, and it will be close with the way Dallas has been playing.

That's all for now. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good Sunday Morning Wxbuddies! :D

Stephanie I hope you have a good time at the wedding. And I can't wait until we get the scoop on Dennis' vacation as well.

Well... I think I will hang around here for a few more minutes, then it is off to church. Have a super day!

Hi all - I'm trying to catch up on all the posts here too! Busy, busy weekend in my household. No time for painting windows......oops. Back to that this week. Why are weekends so blasted crazy? I've longed for a quiet one for months....with the holiday season looming ahead, I can't see a down time until January! Oh well......

Dennis - thanks for sharing your vacation pictures!!! They were great. Catch some rest and then jump back into posting.

Have a good day everyone, even though it's a Monday.

Mary

Morning everyone! :)

Here are some more cinnamon rolls and some coffee.

Looks like a busy week for me too, but I guess I won't be able to complain about bored, eh? We shall see.

Everyone have a good day!

Good Morning Stovians,

What a beautiful weekend and today it's supposed to go up to 70° here in the Burgh. The leaves are getting really brillant!!!

Dennis, welcome home. Glad you had a wonderful time. I'm going to go take a peek at your pics to see what I missed.

Hi David

Well, I'll stoke the fire, put on a fresh pot of coffee and brew some Earl Grey for Miss Mary, Raine and all others who have acquired the taste for this fine tea. Hey, where on earth has Raine been??? I hope she's not working too hard at that new job.

Have a marvelous Monday as Eric would say.

Take care my friends
Karan

Garrett those cinnamon rolls are terrific.

Sorry I let you down Mary. I could have finished those windows this weekend. Darn

Ed, I missed it. What did you do to your kitchen floor?? Hardwood?? Ceramic??

Stormcrazy, I was actually thinking of you yesterday at about 11a.m. wondering if you were rolling over yet.

Stormchaser, I do exactly the same thing when I feel a cold coming on - only I make a strong cup of tea, sweeten it with honey, squeeze 1/2 of a lemon into it and 2 shots of canadian club. Tastes yucky but it really works.

Hey Stephanie, was the wedding fun??

Well

Good afternoon... did something happen to Karan's post? It looks weird. Her goodbye is halfway down the message and then well is just by itself. Does Storm2K have a ghost? :o

Well, the Packer Game was an embarrassment....they couldn't stop a cow running ramped through a corn field! Running defense was awesome...only allowed 34 yards throughout the whole game....passing defense was another story! they allowed (get this) 360+ yards through the air! :( :( That was in normal game, not the OT!!!

As for the Badgers....they beat OSU!!! :ggreen: Ohio State!!! I'm serious Upset City 17-10! ....I would have loved to be down in Madison to watch the game!!! From what I understand is that people in Madison where partying well into Sunday Afternoon! (that's nothing new for Madison!) The Badgers jumped from #22 to #12 in the Coaches poll!!! :ggreen:

Peak colors around Wisconsin!!! They are awesome....and trees are multicolored!

Its either that or commenting on the WFRV Sports Directors statement "I wanted to barf at the end of the game".
