Iguig is just several kilometers north of Tuguegarao - it's still south of the eye.

Probably around 30 km south-west of the centre of the eye currently.

Whoa, we're experiencing power flashes here in Tagaytay.
Strong winds is roaring (we're in higher elevation - about 1800 ft asl)

6th straight hour of rain. Winds have calmed down, but I expect a little bit of revival later on. We definitely had tropical-storm force winds, possibly from a long squall line. Lights went on and off, and some transformers exploded

Good info. Could make for an interesting min SLP extrapolation later.

2018 WP 26 257.653 2018SEP14 154000 17.85 -122.95 2 901 155

We'll see how this changes later with future analysis. 150 knots JTWC just seems to low to me.

These are two stations very close together. One of them (Lasam) is reading 50 km/h while the other one (Gattaran) reads 59 km/h. The yellow colour means it is between 50 and 62 km/h as the colour bar below shows.

Looks like the two weather stations near Lasam are going through the centre of the eye. The new readings in about 10 minutes are going to be very interesting...

Unfortunately, it seems like both Lasam stations went offline. Maybe Allacapan stays up for a centre pressure reading during the next hour...

As of 2000 UTC:

Maximum sustained winds: 55 kt (102 km/h) at Iguig.
Maximum wind gust: 110 kt (204 km/h) at Iguig.
Lowest sea-level pressure: 941 mb at Iguig.

As a side note, MANGKHUT has maintained a WMG eye for 88 hours and at category 5 intensity for 78 hours.

No doubt goes on the list of one of the most intense landfalls on record. I really wish there were more complete lists of such events in all basins though... might be a good project.

Colors of lost purpose on the canvas of irrelevance

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.
