No way this is 85 knots right now. Winds look much stronger then when Florence made landfall. With those winds it might be a category 3 right now. Maybe higher.

Definitely the worst storm I've ever experienced, and perhaps the worst storm for the city since Hope in 1979 or Ellen in 1983.

That's a nine foot or so surge?!
Checking wiki, Typhoon Hato generated a 2.5m surge, so that's still within a range...
