If this system survives are not, it will come through the islands regradless.

If the system is destroyed by shear, it may come through the islands, but if it remains a storm the odds are overwhelmingly against it reaching the islands.

And for everyday Nicholas continues to chug westward.. the odds of the islands seeing a TS (or more) increase.
