Judge calls man 'fixated,' orders him away from Britney S.

I thought my friends told me that Britney Spears wasn't that popular anymore, or Is she?
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — A judge ordered a Japanese businessman to stay away from pop idol Britney Spears, ruling Tuesday he was "was abnormally obsessed and fixated with Spears."

"It was an obvious pattern of harassment and emotional harm done to a person of notoriety," Superior Court Judge Alan Haber said in issuing the permanent injunction.

Spears, 21, first sought a restraining order against Masahiko Shizawa in December 2002, alleging that he "tracked and attempted to contact" her at her home in Los Angeles, as well as at her second home and one of her parent's homes, which are both outside California. He also allegedly sent photos of himself and notes reading, "I'm chasing you."

Shizawa, whose visa expired, has been back in his native Yokohama, Japan, since last December.

The judge said the evidence showed that Shizawa was mentally "off."

Shizawa's lawyer, Simon Robert Hiller, said his client was a law-abiding citizen.

"He was in love," he said.

The injunction calls for Shizawa to stay 300 yards away from Spears for three years.

I'd never heard of Theresa Saldana until after she was attacked by her stalker. I don't think an actor or other public personality needs to be that popular to have obsessed fans or stalkers. Of course, the two worst cases I know of were John Lennon and Rebecca Schaeffer, both killed by their stalkers.

It must be really scary to have some weirdo lurking in the shadows all the time... I dont blame her for taking legal action.

According to Buzz (a ranking of internet searches), Brit's at #2.

Amanzi, you're right. What's even scarier is that ordinary people have stalkers also. :o At least the celebs have bodyguards.

That's right Shawn....there was some weirdo that stalked my oldest sister when she was in college. He'd leave weird love letters and roses on her car, call the law office where she worked claiming to be her fiancee/ lover, and even threatened her on the answering machine in her apartment ("You will fall in love with me...or else"! :o :o

Needless to say, it alarmed all of us....and even scarier, we never did find out who the weirdo was. For whatever reason, after Becky graduated from Georgia Tech and moved out of the sorority house on campus, the strange stalking stopped.

Two years later when Becky and David were married, we were still so concerned, we hired security for the wedding and reception....just in case the stalker showed up and tried to make trouble.

I am trying to be tactful here. When you pose for a picture like this:

Image

You have to expect that some people are going to be obsessed, whether it is right or wrong. She sent a message to the world that she was innocent. In a daring move to make a come-back she has started posing for pictures like this. She has her fan-base, but her new image might not be pleasing for some people. Think about a fan who is obsessed with her for her virginal qualities. She is sweet and innocent and then suddenly becomes this sleazy pop star. The fan would be even more obsessed with her for whatever motivation he has. It's a sick world out there, but if you want to be a celebrity, then you had better expect to have a few weirdos after you.

What can she expect posing for trashy pics like that? If she has no respect for herself, why should anyone else respect her? I don't like the stalking of anyone, tho.
