Does anyone...

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

No because too many longwave troughs go down into the tropics and dont let systems at this late time in the season move like Isabel did in september.

It rarely if ever happens. Tropical cyclones that affect the east coast this time of year usually form in the Carribean or GOM snd move N to NE across the gulf states and then into the Atlantic. Occasionally one may form off FL with little or no warning but I cant remember the last time this happened.

Definitely will make it across the Atlantic - from where it is now to the U.K. (not to the U.S.)

It remains to be seen if Nicholas can move further west into the Caribbean. The confidence level as mentioned in another thread is not high enough to guarantee the storm to move northward and then out to sea.

What I think now, in the near future and later in the forecast period... as well as what we all see happening at the moment, both currently and with the latest forecast information... all remain important as we follow Nicholas.
