I have other obligations, and won’t be able to post recon, or much to the Michael obs thread for at least today and tomorrow.
If others could help, as usual, that would be great, anything you find pertinent to help others in the areas to be effected.

Remember the good old days when the sign language interpreter was in a small box in the corner of the screen, instead of standing right next to the speaker.

I went thru the Maria landfall and it was catastrofic here in Puerto Rico and is not something that anyone want to go thru but sadly, the panhandle of Florida will get it.My prayers go to all that will be affected.

A run down of some of the observations near the point of landfall.
Panama City Airport - 74 MPH gusts.
FSU Panama City - 100 MPH sustained, gusting to 116 MPH. Lowest pressure of 974 mb. Station failed after about 12:33 PM.
St. Andrews State Park - Gusts to 101 MPH. Station was 1 mile east of the park.
Panama City Marina - 71 MPH sustained, gusting to 107 MPH. Lowest pressure 937.5 mb. Winds stopped reporting after 12:18 PM.
Tyndall AFB - 86 MPH sustained, gusting to 129 MPH. Lowest pressure of 922.4 mb. Station failed after around 12:11 PM local time. A second unofficial station on a different runway reported a gust of 139 MPH.
Tyndall AFB, near drone runway - 86 MPH sustained, gusting to 130 MPH. Wind measurements failed after 11:58 AM. Pressure readings continued to record 920 mb.
Mexico Beach (Beacon Hill Area) - 96 MPH sustained, gusting to 126 MPH. Lowest pressure of 961 mb. Station recorded the entirety of the storm, no failures evident. This location is about 3.5 miles east of the core of Mexico Beach and 2 miles east of Toucan's.
Port St. Joe - Gusts to 113 MPH at 11:38 AM.
Apalachicola Regional Airport - Gusts to 89 MPH. Station failed after 11:53 AM local.
One reconnaissance drop sonde documented a surface gust of 132 MPH offshore. The highest SFMR-estimated unflagged 10-second sustained wind was 140 MPH. Conventional surface reductions on unfledged flight-level data yield a max implicitly observed surface wind of 155 MPH. An SFMR-derived 10-second sustained wind of 159 MPH was obtained, but is flagged and subject to further scrutiny in post analysis. The observation was documented 15 miles away from St. Joseph Peninsula, 18.9 miles SW of Mexico Beach, and about 20.5 miles south of Tyndall AFB.
