This guy is a character. He's screaming about 100 mph winds hitting him and they look more like 30-35 mph at that time. I can't take any more of him.

The best was him screaming about those winds and then stopped a red light in the intersection... I do follow him b/c he is entertaining...

Brett Adair's live feed in Port St Joe, trees getting stripped from their leaves, winds easily gusting well over 100.

Nah, that vortex message does not support CAT5 by itself. Flight level winds are not the same as surface winds. Next advisory would be 2pm, but they'll do an update probably at 1pm EDT due to imminent landfall.

At 2 PM EST but they are able to release a special advisory if they deem it necessary (like they did shortly after the 11 AM EST advisory.

Some of the footage coming in is absolutely horrifying from the storm, it is worrying how little warning people were given about the storm, and now there are numerous people that stayed, thinking they could ride out a 90mph Cat 1, but instead have a 150mph Cat 4 monster headed towards them, my prayers are out for all who are in the path of Michael!

About an hour away from landfall, incredible storm. Huge eyewall core moving inland from Panama City east.

What was the actual concrete mb reading for Camille at landfall?

Lot of debate and hasn't it been reclassified several times suggesting no one really knows?

No one really knows. The last HH recorded 919 but the storm was still 100 miles offshore and strengthened from there.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Be careful, Jeff gave us the Blue Shed in Harvey and some powerful images after Joplin. 8-)

Re-analysis data puts it near 900mb. Could range from 895-905mb
