Re: ATL: MICHAEL - Hurricane - Discussion
If there is ever a video to show people the true power of a major hurricane, that is it. So sad.

The stream is still running for me. The car is currently slammed up against a building or a pier or something, possibly on its side.
The building is still in tact, but it is getting pummeled with waves.

I don't know if anyone is watching the live stream from Brett Adair in Port St Joe, but I fear for his life!

Tyndall AFB sensor is now offline. 121 KT recorded before that happened.

Probably in edge of eye since the white-out cleared...If that house is standing they are probably hanging on to it hopefully.

152 * .9 = 136.8 knots.
Some data supporting a cat5 landfall

Praying for Adair that is some scary stuff, One thing I do not see alot of people talk about that i experienced sitting through Wilma, the eye went over my house , Is that for us in that storm it was bad before the eye but it was after the eye that everything went to hell because the wind blew the opposite direction , and it was too much for the buildings/tress etc.
Is that not typical that the worst destruction is after the eye passes over?

NHC should issue a landfall statement in any minute now. If it's not a CAT5 operationally I bet it will be upgraded post-season

For those of us who can’t get it to load (or are at work and streams get blocked, etc), is it archived?

I'm tearing up, Brett should've known the danger. Totally avoidable

I'm hoping that this is the house it's bumping up against. If So Brett may still be OK at the house is still standing...

I'd probably go down the middle and go with 155mph
but it's real close for sure!
Edit - yep officially 155mph, probably the right call...

That has been my experience. The first pass does damage, the second pass flattens things. Like bending a plastic spoon may stress it, but bending it back the other way breaks it.
