Anyone heard from Aric Dunn? his FB page for the hurricane has not been updated or anything I can see on this thread since he was thinking about moving from Port Saint Joe to Panama City. He's always a voice of reason on this forum, after Brett Adair's situation would like to know he is OK

He was on Discord recently saying he's okay. Sounds like the area he's in got heavy damage.

Looks like a fairly modern house, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

I think this should be an educational video. Hopefully Brett is ok.

Locally (rural county) there was a shelter available but it was 200 miles away for safety reasons. I could see there being situations where someone might not be able to get away. Then again, hopefully at that point there are Churches and other community organizations that provide a bus / van / carpooling.

I recall he has disappeared during big storms before and been fine. I think hes more of a "shelter in place and be safe" type than a "broadcast live at all costs" type. Hopefully he's doing well.

According to WFLA out of Tampa (they are helping with coverage in the Panhandle since the Panama City stations are down), Michael is less than 20 miles from making "landfall" in Georgia.

Best way to be IMHO but still lot of heavy damage in both areas he was "sheltering". Galaxy401 posted in reply that he had been on discord and said he was ok but area heavily damaged.
My heart bleeds for all those who's homes and livelihoods are wiped out today. Michael still on rampage inland urbanized areas. Frightening scenario leaving trail of destruction behind him.

I don't think they will consider it such, unless a damage survey confirms it. Most likely will be a cat 2 or 3 impact for Georgia and Alabama.

Assuming greater overland weakening, I'd put AFL5, IGA2, IAL2 on HURDAT for US impacts.
