Songs Re-titled for us

#1 Postby blizzard » Thu Oct 16, 2003 1:59 am

Some of the artists from the 60's are re-releasing their hits with new lyrics to accommodate us... good news, for those feeling a little older and missing those great old tunes...

Herman's Hermits - "Mrs. Brown, You've Got A Lovely Walker"

The Bee Gees - "How Can You Mend A Broken Hip"

The Temptations - "Papa's Got A Kidney Stone"

Ringo Star - "I Get By With A Little Help From Depends"

Marvin Gaye - "I Heard It Through The Grape Nuts"

Procol Harem - "A Whiter Shade Of Hair"

Johnny Nash - "I Can't See Clearly Now"

Leo Sayer - "You Make Me Feel Like Napping"

ABBA - "Denture Queen"

Paul Simon - "Fifty Ways To Lose Your Liver"

Roberta Flack - "The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face"

Commodores - "Once, Twice, Three Times To The Bathroom"

Rolling Stones - "You Can't Always Pee When You Want"

Bobby Darin - "Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' A Flash"

I vaguely remember these being posted. :)

Ongoing Storm2K members may have missed this over the months or may even know they existed, but didn't read through [most] of them).

Two reasons for posting things that have been posted before:

1.) They can't be found by using the 'search feature' and/or scanning through the topic titles.

2.) For newer members, it is easy not to have any idea what hasn't been posted; the chances of checking out old posts over the last three to six to twelve months is very rare.

I do think it is a good idea pointing out subjects that have been brought out before. :D

I wish the same would hold true for regurgitated emailed chain letters about Madelynn Murray O'Hare, missing kids, and anything that needs to be forwarded to twenty people so you can see a "cool screen pop up after hitting send!" I have one associate here at the hospital who sends ALL that stuff to me. And it gets old after a while. Especially since O'Hare has been dead for years and "Touched By An Angel" is no longer on the air anyway. :)
