The CPC 6-10 day outlook is one notch shy of being maxed out on the warm temp anoms. I am excited for some sun and shorts weather 8-)

The squall line is weakening as I thought so maybe 10 minutes of moderate rain, than drizzle the rest of the night. My expectations are very low in winter with rainfall in this area.

ugh... yeah, it's really hard to get a strong intact line all the way down. What a waste

I made a comment earlier how winter weathers systems fall apart down here and people up state thought I was out of my mind but I don’t make this up. I would settle for stratiform rain at this point.

3.38" of rain at Tampa today exceeds the monthly normal. December total is now over 8" and closing in on 3X normal...with a third of the month remaining.

Looks like a new squall has developed over the Eastern Gulf and heading toward psyclone’s neck of the woods.

That's the same squall line I have tracked since early afternoon when it developed just south of the Panhandle region, just ahead of the cold front moving east and southeast from out of the Gulf. It isnow over the North Florida peninsula. This squall line will move down over Central Florida shortly. Then, this line will shift down across the South Florida area late tonight.

Skinny low topped convection with no lightning is all we can muster. The atmosphere is spent. Maybe a 5-10 minute downpour but it could mess with the game over at raymond james tonight.
