I agree. I saw 80 degrees at my house today. Who, uh, what could be causing this? :firedevil:

What winter? More like Fall cancel.

In Dallas we used to say we have 2 seasons, “winter and summer”. Might need to update that to “summer and not summer”.

Hasn’t it been pretty consistently been showing this or something similar?

Yes, models are becoming very consistent showing Canada going into the freezer starting around the 15th....from there, the cold appears to begin overwhelming the pattern. Way too early to know how and to what degree that will affect the southern plains though

Indeed some cold showing up in Western Canada medium range.

Lets label +/-20th for label's sake as the demarcation between the milder Pacific air masses shifting to colder continental air transition.

The cold is going to build and the pattern is looking decent, but nothing specific to latch onto right now. I still think out best chances for winter weather come after the 23rd. Prior to that around the 14th and 19th we have a couple hail mary shots but those are 10% chances at best right now. At least we are wet and not warm for the time being.
