Not so fast. I agree it looked pretty impressive at that 12Z Dvorak estimate. But since then, the CDO has collapsed partially, sending out more outflow boundaries to the southwest. A sign of near-term weakening. Taking a look at the WV satellite loop, Nicholas is moving into some pretty stiff southwest upper-level winds. See the image I just posted in the other thread.
