Not trying to jinx it for severe weather lovers and chasers like me, but has anyone else noticed an agreement in the globals for some sort of event next Friday/Saturday for N/NETX??

yeah already seen some talk elsewhere about it, haven't looked at it too much given how far out it is but someone messaged me earlier and said there was a really "classic" sounding for DFW

Re: Texas Spring 2019
Last 2 Euro runs spit out multiple rounds of storms across most of Texas over the next 10 days, while the GFS is dry... If this winter is any indications, I suspect that the Euro will trend towards the drier GFS :banghead:

Re: Texas Spring 2019
Anyone see any hidden shortwave action coming in from the West coast? Or freezing drizzle to ice up anything tonight and tomorrow?
EDIT: couple models, crazy one, and NAMs show a little in the Big Country and near Eagle Pass.

The Hi-res models seem to be in pretty good agreement with a dusting to 1/2" up along the Red River. It wouldn't take much to get that shifted down into the Northern burbs of DFW?

Re: Texas Spring 2019
The 15z SREF has one member that gets snow to DFW and then the chances increase as you head north towards the Red River. So at least one member of one model shows snow at DFW!

Maybe it could drop further south if Oklahoma would stop sucking.

18z 3K NAM shows returns over DFW tomorrow morning but doesn't show any accumulation, lower levels are probably too dry.

We were at 39F this morning, dropped to 33F, then warmed up to 35F, now back down to 33F. Still cloudy despite the forecast calling for clearing this afternoon.

Why is it that all this crazy weather is firing off north and east of Texas the past few weeks and hardly anything firing off over us?

Stayed below freezing all day even with it clearing off earlier and sunny. 27 F now. It’s going to get cold tonight.

Not sure if this should be on the Winter or Spring thread.lol
Area Forecast Discussion...CORRECTED National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio TX 405 PM CST Sun Mar 3 2019 .UPDATE... We are issuing a Freeze Warning for much of the area tonight from 9pm through noon on Monday. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the low to mid 20s across the Hill Country and Austin Metro area, with upper 20s and lower 30s forecast for the Edwards Plateau, San Antonio metro area, and Coastal Plains. Eight to fifteen hours of freezing temperatures will be possible for those across the Hill Country and Austin Metro area tonight, with a hard freeze expected in the Hill Country. The cold temperatures coupled with the fact that the warmer winter months have led to early planting and some early blooms of area crops, fruit trees, and other plants warrant the issuing of the Freeze Warning to advise not just the public but area farmers and growers of the cold. As noted in the main discussion below this will be the second cold period of this season occurring outside of the normal `winter` period of December to February. In addition to the cold overnight lows the windy conditions will produce wind chills overnight tonight and into Monday morning in the teens. A second Freeze Warning is expected for Monday night into Tuesday as overnight lows will be as cold or colder across the area with a freeze expected for the entirety of our county warning area including the Rio Grande Plains.

While I really want a good thunderstorm and even a little severe weather, we def need to be grateful and careful as well when wishing for severe weather (myself esp) .
Over 10 people have passed away today. Very sad. Yet, people are still complaining about not having their fav show on air during coverage! Such heartless souls out there!
