Re: SATL - IBA - Tropical Storm
Probably 15-20 knots of westerly shear but knowing these systems it wouldn't surprise me if it had 50 knot winds.

ASCAT still showed an elongated center and only 35 kt maximum winds around 00Z.

Sheared with an exposed center today. Models indicate continued weakening.

Looks like some cirrus spread west over the center from squalls to the east. Those squalls are now diminishing.

In the current loop the LLC is booking it to the southwest quickly as the sun sets.

Re: SATL - IBA - Tropical Storm
Still sheared, but Iba actually looks a little better now than it did last night. Circulation remains well defined and convection is bursting with a shear pattern.

Is there a reason for the lightning forming such a straight line? Or is it some glitch?
