I have lived in Dallas more than 20 years and this is the longest, windiest, heavy precipitation storm I can recall. It’s been almost 70 minutes now with no reprieve and winds seem to be picking up. I can only imagine this is what a tropical land falling system be like.

3.22" so far at DFW. Now over 5" for April. In one swoop went above normal for the year to date, Spring, and cleaned recent dry spell. 2015 did the same thing. Don't think we match that May but not bad.

I managed to get over 3 inches based upon stations nearby and radar. For some reason my station zeroed out rainfall before midnight and shows no rainfall yesterday. Must have overwhelmed it.

Impressive.

Over 2" so far here at the house. That main cell that came through FTW last night was just north of me, but I did catch the southern edge, but missed on the strong winds. Lot of thunder but not much lightening.

Love that weather.us site for Euro. Looks like about 1.5 inches were on the model for this event, but it shows me in north FW with about 7 inches by the end of the run after subtracting that. Looking very wet! Can keep the sprinklers off for a few more weeks.

EPS 10 day mean is near 6" with the 15 day over 8", that is a strong signal for more heavy rain.

This outflow is in STX now. Sucked the energy for big storms. Sucks. Just elevated convection. Good rain though

I might actually stand a chance in my area to see something today. Setup is further south than I expected it to be.

POURING here at the house. Windy. Ponding in backyard. Picked up an inch in the last 20 or 30 minutes!
