Rained heavy for about 5 minutes, now in a lull and break between complexes. Will see if more comes down from the northwest. Whoever is stuck under this will get dumped on....

Up to over .40, so with yesterday another inch in the can for this week. Likely more to come tonight and the next few days.

Almost to two inches for the week, so pretty decent. Nice to not have to turn sprinklers on yet.

I had 3.5" last night on top of the tons of rain I have had lately. There are numerous road closures across this area this morning from flooding and trees down. I imagine the issue will only get worse with another 2-4" this week and around a foot over the next couple weeks. Power outages will be widespread with any decent thunderstorm combined with saturated soils. Fun times. Hopefully river flooding will not be too bad.

An additional two to three inches of rain will be likely across North Texas, with locally higher amounts in excess of five inches possible. This heavy rain is expected where we have already seen two to four inches of rain so far this week. Additional heavy rainfall is likely to aggravate any ongoing flooding, and potentially result in new flooding. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for North Texas through midnight tonight. Further south across Central Texas, similar rainfall amounts are forecast, but these areas have not received as much rain as points to the north during the past few days.

I wanted to wait for a somewhat quieter day to post this, today seemed like the best since I'm going to be busy the next 3 days. Well everyone, I'm graduating college this Sunday! Five and a half years ago I was but a wee 11th grader who was overly enthusiastic about the weather. I joined this forum to learn more about the weather and chat with others like me. I've learned so much from this site and a lot of you here. I always brag about this forum when appropriate and about how smart it's users are. College was definitely a roller coaster, I faced many hardships, had some great times. Never got the snowstorm I wanted, but it definitely got frigid more than a few times. :froze: Time really has flown by. Seems like yesterday I was graduating high school in the Texas heat. I was about to invoke on an adventure I'd never forget. Well that is one chapter that is about to close in my life, and another one is about to begin.

The storms just to the south of DFW seem to be moving mostly east.... But the storms further southwest of those seem to be moving northeast??.. Or am I just seeing it wrong? lol

It was cloudy this morning, got sunny late morning into the 70s, now cloudy in the 60s because of an outflow boundary. I think the outflow cooling things off helped to keep the storms in check. I got rained on early this morning from the outflow from DFW yesterday. Maybe a tenth of an inch(?). Only thing I have gotten so far besides sprinkles this week. El Nino patterns are hard to predict! :P

Storms will need to fire on the N side of the line for us along I-20 to see anything. Storms seem to be moving EESE, further south maybe EENE.

Also, a cool little meso low of storms is over central Arkansas.

That main wave has been moving west to east all day, but there is another wave down towards San Antonio on the back side of this complex that looks to be moving almost on a N-NE line. As for any development to the north of the current complex I just don't see it, the atmosphere is more stable.

Ohh ok, I knew I wasn’t just seeing things lol. Any chance those cells moving up to the NE make it to the DFW area?

we may see a shower or two, but all the good stuff will stay south of DFW till tomorrow as this stalled front drifts back to the north over night.

Next week looks wet Tueaday thru Friday again.
