Non-winter threads have always been slow as compared to our annual Wxman57 wintertime battles.
And it’s simply a beautiful spring weekend where most people are out actually enjoying the weather.
Precisely!! Spent several hours at Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie with some good food and cold beer. It was great being on the water on a day like today. Currently paying for it with a sunburn and a full gut. Well worth it. Now bring on the rain next week.

I love our Dallas people and the awesome information they contribute. I do agree with you though. We need more ppl from areas like Panhandle, WTX, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, etc...

Monitoring the convection in WTX and MX. These dying MCV's make more progress than modeled... Sep 2017 a good example.

It would be cool to have more posters from West Texas and the Panhandle. However, I have driven through those areas a bunch of times... there just isn't anyone out there.

I would post more but I don’t have much to contribute. I mostly lurk. I need to get another rain gauge, my husband ran the last one over with the lawn mower, or the pup ran it over, or something. It’s busted. Just like the two before it. Guess I should buy them in pairs.

Well everyone, I officially graduated. One cool thing is that Atmospheric Science was one of the few majors to actually get printed on a degree. I'm going to be in New Orleans with my parents for the time being until I find a job. Not sure where I will be working, but I'm basically open to anywhere in the U.S lol.

I don't post much out of Winter, because, our weather from April to October is largely boring. Now, I know some of you severe weather nuts will say otherwise, but my argument is, we get severe weather in spades every year.
We don't see Winter Weather every year, and it's much more rare. That is what makes it much more exciting.
With that said, I am a fan of very wet and active Spring times because it usually makes the front end of our Summer much more bearable. The cooler the better for me.

I agree on the wet spring. It is nice. I don't post in summer since...well, there isn't much to follow. Just hot and dry with maybe a popcorn storm here or there. Hurricanes interest me when they get strong, but otherwise, it's winter or spring storm season for me.

Also, where do you get the zoomed in SPC graphics? I can't find them on the site.

Congrats young man!!! Time did fly by, did it not? It was just yesterday that you were in high school sneaking posts in while sitting in class. I always thought that hilarious. Now look, you have the option of taking a job at your choosing. Maybe you will come back to Texas and continue to post. Well done!!
