This is heaven. We need to dry out, or summer activities/festivities will be cancelled for many, I fear. Lake Grapevine is +13 above flood stage, and weekly fireworks are scheduled to start Memorial Day weekend.

I can advocate for less flooding but upper 80s? No thanks, I’d rather have my festivities in 70 degree weather.

Upper 80s in mid may.. yuck. 60s is more like it! Youll get your heat in the summer even if we see 60" of rain because.. Texas.

Also sucks the el nino is fading. I hope La Nina never comes back.

The heat doesn’t really bother me that much. I can tolerate heat much better than I can the cold. I know I’m one of few on here that can say that.

30% severe probabilities for Friday in the panhandle and west TX, then 15% for Saturday in much of northern and central TX into OK.

One of OKC's local meteorologists threw the word outbreak into his 5pm forecast yesterday for Saturday. I thought that was jumping the gun a bit. Really? Outbreak mention 6 days out?

Doesn't El Nino always fade about now? I would be surprised if it stayed strong.

Looks like a wild stretch is about to set in. I'm in CO right now, so chasing isn't an option but I did pick up a storm coming off the Front Range

Is it Fall yet? Give me college football, hunting season and early season cold fronts over this crap.

We are about to enter, what I call, the “Gates of Hell Snooze Fest”.... otherwise known as June through August.

Still looking at heavy rain potential for some before May ends. In particular the northern half of of the state. Excessive heat will emerge along the gulf coast of the US as I think it may be a hot summer out that way while Texas is within a weakness. Previews of summer pattern.

Good. The SE does not deserve any rainy weather anymore for the next couple months lol. Atlanta saw 71" of rain in 2018.

Man, whatever blew through here has totally messed up my allergies. I'm going to need that tropical air to return to New Orleans ASAP.

Ever since I got back from Vegas I've been having allergy flareups and that was 2 and a half weeks ago

Steve McCauley said Saturday is a morning complex for DFW. That would seem to significantly lower severe chances...again.
